Marie Digby, one of the most viewed musicians on Youtube, is now a recording artist in the Philippines after she signed a contract with Star Records and MCA Universal on Monday. Marie will be recording original songs in her first album with the Philippine-based recording companies.
Marie Digby on the cover of her first album, "Unfold"Born Marie Christina Digby, the 28-year-old American singer-songwriter became famous for her cover of Rihanna's "Umbrella" in 2007 which became a hit and was featured on MTV's "The Hills" series. Since then, she was able to record 3 studio albums in the US.
Marie Digby was in the Philippines in 2009 for a one-night concert and got back in the country 3 months ago to do shows and appear in events in the Kapamilya network. Perhaps, she'll be staying here longer since she has to record and promote her upcoming album still.
