PAGASA Weather Forecast : Monsoon rains to prevail over Luzon

According to the 24-hour weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Calayan, Babuyan and Batanes group of islands will experience rains with gusty winds while the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will have monsoon rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Mindanao and the rest of the Visayas will be having mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.


"Rains/Monsoon rains" are expected in the following cities: Metro Manila, Tuguegarao, Laoag, Baguio, Olongapo, Angeles, Tagaytay, Legaspi, Puerto Princesa, Ilo-ilo, and Bacolod. It would be "mostly cloudy with scattered rash" in the cities of Cebu, Tacloban, Cagayan de Oro, Davao and Zamboanga.

The forecast added that "moderate to strong winds from northwest to southwest will prevail over the rest of Luzon and coming from the southwest to south over the res of the country." The coastal waters will also be "moderate to rough" throughout the archipelago.

Ang Kalakhang Maynila ay makakaranas ng mga pag-ulan dulot ng Habagat. Katamtaman hanggang sa malakas na hangin mula sa Timog-kanluran ang iiral at ang Look ng Maynila ay magiging katamtaman hanggang sa maalon. Ang tinatayang agwat ng temperatura ay mula 24 hanggang 28 antas ng Celsius (75°F hanggang 82°F).

Ang mga isla ng Calayan, Babuyan at Batanes ay magkakaroon ng mga pag-ulan na may pagbugso ng hangin samantalang ang nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon at Kanlurang Kabisayaan ay makakaranas ng pag-ulan dulot ng Habagat na maaring magdulot ng mga pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa. Ang Mindanao at ang nalalabing bahagi ng Kabisayaan ay magiging madalas na maulap na may kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at pagkidlat-pagkulog.

Katamtaman hanggang sa malakas na hangin mula sa Timog-kanluran ang iiral sa Luzon at Kanlurang Kabisayaan at mula naman sa Timog-silangan hanggang Timog-kanluran sa nalalabing bahagi ng bansa. Ang mga baybaying-dagat sa buong kapuluan ay magiging katamtaman hanggang sa maalon.
