Jerzon Senador posted the following on Facebook after realizing what he did was wrong:

"To All Animal Lover and to all over the world” please read this:

Gusto ko humingi ng tawad sa nagawa kong kasalanan sa aking alagang aso.. Sana mapatawad nyo ako at pinapangako ko na hindi na mauulit…

Jerzon Senador

(I'd like to ask for forgiveness for the sin I committed against my pet dog. I hope you can forgive me and I promise it will not happen again)."

"Kung pwede ko nga lang po kayo isa isahin para makahingi ng tawad ginawa ko na. Sana bigyan nyo ko ng chance para maipakita sa inyo na hindi po ako 'Animal Abuser.' Unexpected ko po talaga na ganito ang mangyayare pero tatangapin ko po kung ano magiging resulta ng ginawa ko. Sa lahat po ng naabala dahil sa ginawa ko humihingi po ako sa inyo ng tawad."

(If I could say 'sorry' to each and every one of you, I would. Please give me a chance to show you that I'm not an 'Animal Abuser.' What happened was really unexpected but I will accept the consequences of what I have done. To all who were bothered by what I did, I ask for your forgiveness!)"
On Sunday, Senador snapped some pictures of his puppy while pinned to a clothesline after bathing the animal. He then posted the photos on Facebook in an album he named "Bagung Ligo si Puppy." Just a few moments later, a friend warned him that it's "animal cruelty." Check out their exchanges below:

As the conversation would tell you, Senador claimed he even put the dog inside a washing machine and did not heed his friend's warning. Moments later, tech bloggers (with a number of following) found out and wrote about it on their blogs. After that, Jerzon Senador's stunt was all over the internet.

With several Twitter users voicing out their outrage on what he did to his dog, "Jerzon Senador" made it to Philippine Top Twitter Trends. A hate page on Facebook calling for him to be prosecuted was also created (now deleted). More bloggers also featured him.

Now, Senador has made it to the news. International news website Dailymail.co.uk even picked up his story.

On TV Patrol last night, Senador said what he did was out of boredom and he did not mean it. He added that he did not wash the dog in a washing machine and that it was just a joke when he told his friend he did so. He also asked forgiveness in his interview.

However, the incident has reached the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). PAWS is said to be determined to file a case against him.

According to Republic Act No. 8485, also known as “The Animal Welfare Act of 1998″, it is “unlawful for any person to torture any animal”. Anyone found guilty under the act would be subjected to six months to two years imprisonment, or fined ranging from ₱1,000 to ₱5,000.

Just last May, UP student Joseph Carlo Candare was fined 2,000 pesos and was made to work in an animal shelter after he killed a cat and bragged about it on his blog.
