Thia Megia grateful for being featured in Pacquiao-Marquez fight

Filipina-American Thia Megia expressed her gratitude on Twitter after singing the U.S. national anthem during the Manny Pacquiao versus Juan Manuel Marquez boxing match Sunday (Philippine Time).

"I had such an amazing night. Being in that ring was another dream come true, it was a beautiful experience <3 Thank you so much mi lovies!(:" Megia tweeted.

Prior to her performance, she had also posted about how excited she was to be singing in the fight.

"Almost time for the Pacquiao fight. I'm so excited and honored to sing the US National Anthem tonight! Thanks for all the good luck wishes(:" the singer said.

Thia Megia is one of the Top 11 finalists of the last season of the popular talent search in the U.S., the "American Idol."

Another Pinay also performed during the sold-out fight - Youtube sensation Maria Aragon who sang the national anthem of the Philippines, "Lupang Hinirang."
