Steve Jobs autobiography book pre-orders rise to 38,700%

Tributes have poured in following the untimely demise of Apple founder and former CEO Steve Jobs including messages from Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Sergey Brin and President Barack Obama. Netizens go non-stop in posting anything Steve Jobs on their accounts in various social media sites. Other people, on the hand, have chosen to remember Steve Jobs by pre-ordering books about him on Amazon.

Just a few hours after Apple's confirmation of Steve Jobs' death, three books about the American innovator have abruptly rise to the top spots in Amazon's ranking of "Biggest Gainers in Books Sales" over the past 24 hours.

One of them is a Steve Jobs autobiography book written by Walter Isaacson which propelled from number 388 spot to number 1, 38,700 percent up in the last 24 hours. The release date of the said book is set on November 21, 2011. (Update: The release date was moved to October 24, 2011 according to Associated Press.)

Taking the second rank is "I, Steve: Steve Jobs in His Own Words" which gained 32,536% increase of pre-orders. Written by George Beahm, the book will be out on November 8, 2011.

Another Steve Jobs book, "The Innovation Secrets of Steve Jobs: Insanely Different Principles for Breakthrough Success" placed fifth on the online store's list. It was written by Carmine Gallo.

Steve Jobs succumbed to pancreatic cancer on October 5, 2011 at the age of 56.
