Bagyong Kabayan (Tropical Storm Kabayan) has gained more as it moves in a West Northwest direction, the PAGASA said.

According to the PAGASA, Bagyong Kababayan (International codename: Muifa) was "estimated based on satellite and surface data at 840 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar (12.4°N 133.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 15 kph."
There has been no storm signal issued.
The state weather bureau also said the weather disturbance is "too far to directly affect any part of the country."
