Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin to reunite in an upcoming movie project

“There is a project and hopefully sometime soon ay magawa na namin. She’s also doing some project with another leading man pero even while we were doing ‘Lobo’ mayroon ng project na gagawin namin together….I hope it will happen soon,” the Kapamilya hunk said.
Undeniably two of the biggest Kapamilya stars right now, Piolo and Angel first teamed up on TV via the defunct hit series "Lobo." In 2009, they were paired in the movie "Love Me Again".
At the moment, Angel is doing the movie adaptation of the longest drama anthology on Philippine TV "Maalaala Mo Kaya: The Movie". Piolo, on the other hand, is filming a movie with Angelica Panganiban.
Just a little update on the two:
Piolo won the "Hottest Actor" award at the recently concluded Yahoo! OMG Awards 2011 (details HERE).
Angel is also said to play Darna again but this time it would be on ABS-CBN (details HERE).

According to reports, ABS-CBN has finally acquired the rights to do a remake of "Darna" and Angel Locsin is again the one slated to do the role of the superhero.
"Darna" was remade by the GMA-7 a couple of times, with Angel Locsin taking the lead role in 2005 and Marian Rivera in 2009. Learning the news about ABS-CBN doing the show, was said to have made the rival network dismayed especially that another popular show on their network "Dyesebel" was also purchased by the Kapamilya.
Yes, "Darna" and "Dyesebel" reportedly will be on ABS-CBN soon!

Bagyong Falcon June 25, 2011 PAGASA Update
Bagyong Falcon 'moving away' from the Philippines - PAGASA
Bagyong Falcon (Tropical Storm FAlcon) has acquired more strength and has accelerated as it continuously moves away from the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said via its bulletin on Friday.
Bagyong Falcon was last spotted at 590 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes at 4 a.m.
The bulletin added that Tropical Storm Falcon is still expected to "enhance the Southwest Monsoon and bring occasional rains over Luzon particularly over the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon. "
Moving at a rate of 24kph in a North Northwest direction, the weather disturbance now has maximum sustained winds of 105 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 135 kph.

Northern and Central Luzon will experience monsoon rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides while the Southern Tagalog Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon and Southern Tagalog Region and coming from the Southeast to Southwest over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.

DOT launches controversial tourism ad

The Department of Tourism (DOT), in cooperation with giant telecom company Smart, has begun its “Pilipinas, Tara Na!” domestic tourism advocacy program. But it seems like the government agency kicked things off with a controversial print ad. Check it out below:

The following are written on the bottom of the ad:
"** This value driven campaign promotes the Philippines to its own people, many of whom opt to travel abroad unaware of their country’s beauty. “Tara na” means let’s go."
Although the "comparison" makes the ad controversial, it has been well received by a number of people who said that it is "catchy" and "effective".
In the coming weeks the DOT is expected produce more print and TV advertisements and billboards which aim to further stimulate growth of the domestic base.
Eguchi Aimi, Japanese pop star, not human!
Eguchi Aimi, the freshest addition to the all-girl Japanese pop group AKB48 has been revealed to be computer-generated and does not live in the real world!
A video on how Eguchi Aimi came to "life" has been released. It appears that Eguchi was nothing more than the outcome of combining the facial features of the AKB48 members using a computer software. Take a look on how this clever publicity stunt was created.
Fans were said to have been disappointed upon learning that Eguchi Aimi of AKB48 is fake.

PAGASA Weather Forecast : Monsoon rains to prevail over Luzon
According to the 24-hour weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Calayan, Babuyan and Batanes group of islands will experience rains with gusty winds while the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will have monsoon rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Mindanao and the rest of the Visayas will be having mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
The forecast added that "moderate to strong winds from northwest to southwest will prevail over the rest of Luzon and coming from the southwest to south over the res of the country." The coastal waters will also be "moderate to rough" throughout the archipelago.
