David Beckham, La Galaxy arrive in Manila (Video)

David Beckham and the rest of the LA Galaxy have arrived in Manila, Thursday afternoon. The team took a chartered flight from Indonesia and landed at around 2:50 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2.

The Galaxy went to a press conference at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel after their arrival.

The American football club is in the country for the second stop in their Asia-Australia tour. They will be playing an exhibition match against the Philippine national football team, the Philippine Azkals on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. The team will also have a football camp for kids at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the venue to be followed by an open practice.

The momentous LA Galaxy vs Philippine Azkals friendly match will be aired live on Studio 23 and Balls starting at 6:30 pm, with kick-off at 7 p.m. A replay will be broadcast on ABS-CBN the following day, December 4, at 10:30 a.m.

David Beckham and his club LA Galaxy are reportedly coming to the Philippines this December to play against the Philippine national football team, the Philippine Azkals.

Azkals team coordinator and media liaison Patrick Ace Bright made the announcement earlier via his Twitter account. Bright said that the LA Galaxy vs Philippine Azkals friendly match will be held on December 4, 2011 at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.

“LA Galaxy and Azkals, December 4, Rizal Stadium,” Bright tweeted.

Update: The final schedule has been set on December 3.

The visit is said to be part of LA Galaxy's tour in Southeast Asia to promote the club. The team is also scheduled to visit Melbourne, Australia on December 6th.

Apart from David Beckham, LA Galaxy's star players also include former Inter and Tottenham striker Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan.
