"I guess I just wanted a change. I wanted to experience something new in my life, go to a different country, be somebody totally different," Tom told ABS-CBN.
Tom Taus, now 25, used to be a child star in the Philippines who started out his career in the 90's via ABS-CBN's kiddie gag show "Ang TV" together with his big sister Antoinette, also a former actress. He became more popular when he played the lead role in Star Cinema's "Cedie: Ang Munting Prinsipe." He was also well-loved for his remarkable character portrayal in 1997 adventure movie "Anak ng Bulkan."
At age 13, Tom and his family decided to move to the United States.
As it appears, Tom is now a popular DJ in the US. When his successful DJ stint was featured on "TV Patrol" last Wednesday, Tom immediately trended on Twitter as well as on Yahoo! Philippines the following two days.
