Transcript:

More than 11 million Filipinos have left their families to find better opportunities abroad.

Joe Marie Ballon (X-Ray Technologist, Years away from home: 5):

"The most difficult part of working abroad is being far from family. I haven't been home for a long time because my father got sick. He's almost blind now. Instead of spending for the ticket home, I would rather send him money to buy medicine."

Leonie Villanueva (Caregiver, Years away from home: 9): "When winter comes, it's so difficult! Even when I'm sick, I would force myself to go to work. I can't go home, no matter how much I want to. I have bills to pay every month and all my children are depending on me."

Joey Doble (Babysitter, Years away from home: 11): "I can get very sad. I'm all alone here. I have not seen my youngest son. When I left, he was just 1 year old."

Ashley Rivera gets interviewed on US show

Ashely Rivera
She has taught us how to get abs in 1 minute and showed us how to "dougie." Now, our "paborite" youtuber, the "bery punny" Ashley Rivera a.k.a. Petra Mahalimuyak is back and is making waves online with her latest tutorial.

Touted as the female counterpart of another Noypi Youtube sensation Mikey Bustos because of exaggerated Filipino accent in her videos, 19-year-old Ashley Rivera has been interviewed recently on a show in America called "Right This Minute" for her new video "How To Dance In A Club" which has gotten more than 900,000 hits, her most viewed clip to date. Watch the interview here: http://www.rightthisminute.com/story/how-dance-club-instructional-video

Meanwhile, here's what is written on Ashley's Youtube channel "ashleyslips":
Hey guys! My name is Ashley Rivera. I'm 19 yrs old, currently living in Las Vegas. I started making videos since 2009. Most of them were lip-syncing videos. That's how i came up w/ the username "ashleyslips"= Ashley's Lips. I didn't wanna post it on youtube because it was just for my friends & i. Til one day (April 12, 2011), i got bored to death... i decided to make a random video which was "Make Up Tutorial by Petra M". That's how it all started. :)

Petra Mahalimuyak, on the other hand, is my alter ego. She's the exaggerated version of me. She'll do whatever she wants. She sincerely doesn't give a PACK. ;) And if the accent is really bothering you.... well, sucks to be you 'cause you don't have some sense of humor. Joke's on you, buddy. ;) Jon't heyt, aprisheyt! (Don't hate, appreciate!)

*I absolutely love entertaining people! It's a passion of mine. (wow, cheesy) It makes me super happy when i make all/most of you laugh. I love to dance, act, sing, cook & have fun! I don't take things too seriously. I just go w/ the flow! Yes, I enjoy life to the fullest! Like i said, "Life is short. So don't make it shorter!"

News flash: THE ACCENT IS FAKE. How many times do i have to say that? Seriously. :)) it's for entertainment purposes only. Thank you very much. :)
Check out below Ashley's newest tutorial! Enjoy! :D

Arjohn Gilbert, the singing Aeta boy whose Youtube videos went viral in the internet, has been invited by international Pinay singing sensation who also owes her success to the popular video sharing site, Charice to perform at her upcoming concert in the country.

Arjohn Gilbert

"Arjohn, next time I do my own show in the Philippines, I would love for you to come and perform with me!," Charice said via her official Twitter account.

“He grabbed them, squeezed them then back-punched them. I wouldn’t have reacted that way if he didn’t do it, it was like a punch, it’s the worst feeling.” Taulava told the Philippine Star.

Taulava and Jing were both ejected from the game because of the incident.

After the game, Taulava took time in updating his newly created Twitter page with a statement of apology.

"Would like to apologize to everybody that watched the game today for losing my cool. No excuses for my actions, and I’m sorry," Taulava tweeted.

Arjohn Gilbert, Pampanga's singing sensation (Videos)

Remember the boy featured on the Youtube video titled "Kid Singing in Puregold Clark" which was posted here on Noypistuff? His name is Arjohn Gilbert, an Aeta from Mabalacat, Pampanga. The said video of him, which was uploaded on July 31st, now has more 90,000 views as of this writing (It was still less than 1,000 when I shared it here).

Arjon Gilbert performing a mash-up of "Baby" (Justin Bieber), "Just The Way You Are (Bruno Mars) , "Replay" (Iyaz) and "Angels Cry" (Mariah Carey feat. Neyo)

It is not really the first time that a video of the singing Aeta boy on Youtube gained so many hits. During the past years, some videos of him uploaded on the popular video sharing site already attracted thousands of views prompting a couple of TV shows on GMA-7 to feature him.

He sells bamboo flutes on the streets of Clark, Pampanga. Singing to his customers is actually his way of getting more sales, a marketing strategy. :D

Check out Arjohn Gilbert's videos below:
