"My Binondo Girl" star Xian Lim is looking young on Chalk's cover while "Survivor Philippines" host Richard Gutierrez is the Men's Health guy for December 2011. Another eye-candy Mario Maurer is also seen throwing a cute smile on the cover of Garage Magazine's most recent issue.

Erich Gonzales has met Thai actor Mario Maurer in person for the first time in a dinner on Thursday.

On this photo posted by Joyce Ramirez of PR Asia on Twitter, Erich and Mario look so good together, making fans excited about their upcoming movie titled "Suddenly, It's Magic."

To be shot mostly in Thailand, Erich and Mario's movie, according to Ramirez, will be about "a Thai celebrity who was betrayed by the one he loves so he escapes his country and visits Manila where the story begins."

Mario is currently in the country for his Penshoppe endorsement. He as well signed a one-movie contract with Star Cinema on Wednesday. His movie with Erich will reportedly be released next year.

Mario Maurer and Erich Gonzales will be pairing up for a movie under Star Cinema soon!

A few months ago, it was reported that Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer who inked an edorsement deal with Filipino clothing line Penshoppe will also be doing a movie in the country. During that time, however, it was not yet clear who will be his Filipina leading lady in the upcoming movie. Kim Chiu's name came out but according to reports, it was Erich Gonzales who was recommended by Star Cinema because of her "acting skills" and "Filipina looks" which made her a "perfect fit for the role."

Mario Maurer has arrived in Manila on Wednesday and on the same day he signed a one-movie contract with Star Cinema. It was revealed that day that it is indeed Erich Gonzales who will topbill the movie with Mario Maurer.

The said Mario Maurer-Erich Gonzales movie has been given the title “Suddenly It’s Magic” and will be released in 2012.

According to Joyce Ramirez of PR Asia Worldwide, "Suddenly It's Magic" will be about "a Thai celebrity who was betrayed by the one he loves so he escapes his country and visits Manila where the story begins."

Mario Maurer is flying to Manila this October 2011 to shoot an ad campaign for local clothing brand Penshoppe and to do some projects with ABS-CBN.

Mario Maurer will also be seeing his avid Noypi fans in a meet-and-greet event (Penshoppe Fan Conference) scheduled at 1PM on October 28, 2011 at the PICC Plenary Hall in Manila. It will be hosted by MTV's VJ Utt. Pan-Asian girl group Blush will also be performing in the event.

To be able to get passes to the said Penshoppe Fan Conference featuring Mario Maurer, fans have to complete the following:

1. Complete a Penshoppe Fan Conference stamp card before October 15. (P500 purchase at Penshoppe = 1 stamp. 10 stamps = 1 pass.)

2. Exchange the completed stamp card for a Fan Con pass at any Penshoppe boutique nationwide on October 20-28, 2011.

3. Arrive early at the PICC Plenary Hall with your passes on Oct. 28 because seats are on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. Gates will open at 11 AM. There will be 4,000 seats available.

Mario Maurer, 22, is a Thai model and actor best known for his lead roles in "The Love of Siam" (2007) and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" (2011). When the second film was aired on ABS-CBN in June - it topped daytime ratings.

Mario Maurer fans in the Philippines have something to look forward to before their idol's forthcoming visit in the country. Given the new title "Bangkok Ghost Stories," Mario Maurer's movie "Rahtree Reborn" ("Buppha Rahtree 3.1") is set to be shown in Philippine theaters this September 7, 2011.

Mario Maurer's "Bangkok Ghost Stories" is part of a horror movie series in Thailand, "Buppha Rahtree." It tells the story of a boy who fell in love with a dead girl. Check out its trailer below:

An abused young girl (Laila Boonyasak) is murdered. She becomes a vengeful ghost, wreaking havoc in an apartment complex. A young man (Mario Maurer) with the ability to see ghosts moves into the building, and soon begins a strange romance with the angry spirit.

On "E! Live" and "The Buzz", the Asian heartthrob shared how excited he is to meet his Noypi fans through a pre-recorded interview. Maurer also revealed that he is going to work with local clothing brand Penshoppe and will do a movie under Star Cinema in his forthcoming visit in the Philippines soon.

Thai model and actor Mario Maurer is set to do a film under Star Cinema and a TV show on ABS-CBN once he arrives in the Philippines, PR Asia Worldwide Communications director Joyce Ramirez revealed Sunday.

Although still premature since official casting has not been started, Ramirez said Kapamilya actress Erich Gonzales would most likely be Maurio Maurer's leading lady in the movie project after a recommendation from Star Cinema.

"ERICH GONZALES is the TOP actress recommended to us by Star Cinema - her acting skills, Filipina looks make her a perfect fit for the ROLE," Ramirez tweeted.

However, Ramirez reiterated that the Mario Maurer-Erich Gonzales movie is not final yet.

"THE SELECTION of the ACTRESS position will only be revealed after Mario Maurer reviews the SCRIPT - so nothing is FINAL yet! Thank you," she said.

Earlier this month, Mario Maurer was reported to be coming to Manila for a Penshoppe endorsement.

There is also a rumor saying that Kim Chiu will be working with Mario Maurer when the latter gets here. However, it's not confirmed yet. (Update: Ms. Joyce Ramirez belied rumor about Kim Chiu and Mario Maurer. She said Mario is coming to the Philippines solely for Penshoppe).
