Bagyong Ramon (Tropical Depression Ramon) has continued moving in a Northwest direction, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Thursday.

According to the 5 p.m. bulletin from PAGASA, Bagyong Ramon was last spotted based on satellite and surface data at 270 km West of Metro Manila (14.3°N 118.3°E). It is packing maximum winds of 55 kph near the center and is moving to the Northwest at 19 kph.
The state weather bureau has lowered storm signals in all areas. Fishermen with smaller fishing boats, however, are are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.
Tropical Depression Ramon is expected to be at 850 km West of Laoag City by Saturday.
