Tropical Storm Quiel (Bagyong Quiel) track forecast | PAGASA
If Tropical Storm Quiel (Bagyong Quiel) will not change its course, it will make a landfall in the Philippines this weekend, the PAGASA said Thursday.

At the moment, the tropical cyclone is "still too far to directly affect any part of the country," the state weather bureau added.

According to the 11 p.m. bulletin released by PAGASA, Tropical Storm Quiel was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 950 kms East of Aparri, Cagayan (17.9°N, 131.7°E ) with maximum sustained winds of 110 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 140 kph. It is forecast to move to the West at the rate of 17 kph.

The PAGASA added that Bagyong Quiel will yield an estimated amount of rainfall of 15-25 mm per hour within the 300 km diameter of the tropical storm.
